0-3 Curriculum

Wellbeing Wheel

The 0-2 and 2-3 rooms use the "Pre-Birth to Three" document for effective planning of children's learning.

This document recognises the importance of pregnancy and the first year's of life influencing children's development and future outcomes.

The four key principles are:

  • Rights of the Child
  • Relationships
  • Responsive Care
  • Respect

The eight well-being indicators are used in the assessment and planning process which are the basic requirements for all children and young people to grow, develop and reach their full potential.

These are:

  • healthy
  • achieving
  • nurtured
  • active
  • respected
  • responsible
  • included
  • safe
